Profile

Hello/Buenas! I am a first-year PhD student in Computer Science at Brown Unviersity, advised by Dr. Diana Freed. Previously, I graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2024, with a B.S. in Computer Science and a certificate in Criminology and the Criminal Justice System.

I'm interested in investigating technosolutions through the lenses of computer science, law, and sociology. Additionally, I'm exploring how societal norms influence the design and production of social technologies and how these impact the flow of personal data and infringe on privacy.

As an undergraduate at UMass Amherst, I worked as a 🔍 Digital Forensics Intern with the Massachusetts Attorney General Office's Digital Evidence Lab (AGODEL), under the guidance of my incredible mentor Laura Hernandez. I supported on the extraction, processing, and analysis of digital evidence in cases, from collection to presentation to attorneys for prosecution. I also had the wonderful opportunity to work with Dr. Brian Levine on the 📱 App Danger Project at the RescueLab, where we trained a classifier to categorize app reviews for indications of unsafe interactions for children.

💫 Research Interests 💫

Currently, my work is nested under the Center for Technological Responsibility, Reimagination, and Redesign (CNTR), where I am able to cultivate a variety of interdisciplinary research involving tech + society such as:
